We're so familiar with all the expectations and associations of every scene we take in that it's easy to become visually desensitized to the beauty and interest of composition in our everyday world. Often our frame of reference is so concrete that if we simply change the orientation of a scene - we lose our expectations and it suddenly becomes interesting again.
